Request for Quotation (RFQ)
Purpose: Used when the requirement is fully defined and an award can be made on total cost that meets all specifications (typically >$25,000 and <$50,000).

RFQ - Heritage Resources Impact Assessment for the Wye Lake Trail
The Town of Watson Lake is inviting quotations for the completion of a Heritage Resources Impact Assessment (HRIA) for the Wye Lake Trail Enhancements project. The Town would like the assessment completed as early as possible in the summer season of 2026, so that tendering and construction of the trail improvements can proceed thereafter.
The Wye Lake Trail Enhancements project will improve the existing 2.5 km loop trail around First Wye Lake within Wye Lake Park. Planned improvements include widening, re-grading, placing a compacted gravel trail surface, upgrading and expanding timber boardwalk sections, adding trailhead kiosks with maps, formalizing trailhead entry points, replacing the existing outhouse with an accessible outhouse, and upgrading benches, waste bins, and interpretive signage.
Quotations must include the name of the firm and contact information, a brief description of scope, price broken down per task with estimated hours and rates, and any assumptions.
Quotations must be submitted by email no later than 3:00 PM Yukon Time on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, to Heidi Redman, LEES+Associates, at hredman@elac.ca.
RFQ - Heritage Resources Impact Assessment for the Wye Lake Trail
Request for Tender (RFT)
Purpose: Used when specifications and timelines are fixed and price is the sole determining factor (commonly when the value is ≥ $50,000).

The Town of Watson Lake is inviting bids for RFT 2026-02 for Watson Lake Recreation Centre Boiler Project
Bids must be submitted by email in a password-protected format to cdo@watsonlake.ca using the T-1 Schedule of Bid form attached to the Tender document, no later than 3:00 p.m. (Yukon Time) on April 20, 2026.

RFT 2026-03 - Supply and delivery of Propane Fuel and Equipment
The Town of Watson Lake is inviting bids for RFT 2026-03 for the supply and delivery of propane fuel and equipment for various Town facilities and employee residences over a 3-year term, starting on September 1, 2026, and ending August 30, 2029.
Bids must be submitted by email in a password-protected format to cdo@watsonlake.ca using the T-1 Schedule of Quantities and Prices form attached to the Tender document, no later than 3:00 p.m. (Yukon Time) on May 6, 2026.

Request for Proposal (RFP)
Purpose: Used for complex goods, services, or construction where suppliers propose solutions and the Town evaluates overall best value (commonly when the value is ≥ $50,000).

Expression of Interest (EOI)
Purpose: Used to assess market interest, capabilities, or approaches before a formal competition.
EOI 2025-02 Watson Lake Recreation Centre Concession
The Town of Watson Lake is inviting Expressions of Interest from individuals, businesses, or organizations to enter into a single or multi-year lease agreement to operate the concession at the Watson Lake Recreation Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a key community hub, serving residents, visitors, and event participants with hot and cold food and beverage options. The ideal operator will create a welcoming environment and work closely with the Town to align menu offerings with community needs.
Proponents can submit their Expression of Interest by emailing the Director of Community Services at csrec@watsonlake.ca or by calling 867-536-8020.
Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 3:00 PM Yukon Time on Thursday, April 30, 2026, either by email in a password-protected format to csrec@watsonlake.ca (password to be provided upon request after closing), or in a sealed envelope delivered to the Watson Lake Recreation Centre at 912 Lakeview Avenue.
