Watson Lake Recreation Centre Code of Conduct
Users of the Town of Watson Lake Recreation Facilities are expected to act respectfully, show good sportsmanship, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Who This Code Applies To
This Code of Conduct applies to everyone who uses the facilities, including members, participants, rental groups, visitors, parents, and spectators.
General Expectations
All users are expected to treat others with respect, follow facility rules as posted, comply with directions from staff and volunteers, and use equipment and facility spaces in a safe and appropriate manner.

- Show good sportsmanship during activities and events.
- Follow all posted facility rules.
- Comply with directions from Recreation Services staff and volunteers.
- Use equipment safely and only for its intended purpose.
Facility Use
Shirts and shoes must be worn unless the activity or sport requires otherwise. Roller blades, cleats, skateboards, and bicycles are allowed only in designated areas.
Photos and Recording
The use of personal recording devices, including smartphones, tablets, and cameras, is allowed when photos or videos include your own family or group members, or when you have expressed permission from other public participants featured in the recording.
Photographing or filming for commercial purposes is prohibited without permission from the Town of Watson Lake.
Prohibited Conduct
Aggressive Behaviour
The Town of Watson Lake will not tolerate conduct that threatens the health or safety of others, including physical, sexual, or verbal abuse, threats, and harassment. Individuals who engage in aggressive behaviour may be suspended or banned from the premises.
Disorderly Conduct
Users are expected to treat the facilities and others with respect. Disorderly or inappropriate conduct is not permitted, including loitering, solicitation, intoxication or impairment, public nudity, sexual activity, theft, and vandalism.
Alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, e-cigarettes, and illegal substances are not permitted on the premises.
Lack of Compliance
Recreation Services staff are responsible for maintaining the safety of members, visitors, and facilities. Users are expected to follow staff directions. Failure to comply may result in loss of membership, restricted access, cancellation of bookings, or removal from the facility.
Respect and Inclusion
The Town of Watson Lake will not tolerate discrimination against an individual or group based on, but not limited to, age, ancestry, colour, gender, mental or physical abilities, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation.
Important: Those who demonstrate a lack of respect toward others or toward the facility may be suspended or banned from the premises.
