Household Hazardous Waste Day

The Town of Watson Lake is hosting Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Watson Lake Recycling and Landfill Facility.

This is your chance to safely dispose of household hazardous waste at no cost.

Accepted items may include used motor oil, gasoline, antifreeze, paint and paint thinners, fluorescent tubes, aerosol cans, household cleaners, pesticides, adhesives, and car batteries.

Please note that the Watson Lake Recycling and Landfill Facility will not accept hazardous waste materials such as asbestos, ammunition, full compressed gas cylinders, pharmaceutical waste, and similar items.

No hazardous commercial waste will be accepted.
